About Bleubird
Bleubird is an Outdoor & Adventure brand based in Northern Ireland with a strong environmental conscience. We produce a wide range of apparel and accessories and we are now specialists in outdoor equipment products, including Stand Up Paddle Boards, Changing Robes and E-bikes.
We are now in our 6th year of trading and are in an exciting period of growth having recently launched in the USA in January this year.
The purpose of the role
You will be expected to create and deliver marketing campaigns that are in line with the overall business objectives and brand vision. You will manage the companies organic and paid platforms, ensuring that our brand’s story is solidified and projected clearly in all messaging. You will also oversee aspects of our E-commerce operation, keeping a close eye on sales figures and profitability whilst managing consumer relations.
Key Responsibilities
- You will create original, well thought out email marketing campaigns presented to both our D2C and B2B customers. You will plan ahead, scheduling these emails in advance. You will also track the correlation between these campaigns, sales and profitability.
- You will manage our social media accounts, organising posts and stories into a calendar. You will also keep up to date with marketing trends, ensuring that we continue to stay relevant and captivating whilst ensuring our brand identity is accurately portrayed. You will be committed to growing our accounts followers and engagement levels, measuring these metrics alongside subsequent e-commerce sales and profitability.
- You will handle all things advertising, from Facebook, TikTok, Google and Pinterest ads to magazine and billboard advertising.
- You will deliver excellent customer service to E-commerce customers, answering any queries and solving issues with orders.
- You will organise community events, ensuring to portray a face and personality behind the brand.
- You will build and evolve the current marketing strategy and manage a marketing budget.
- You will work closely with the NPD, Customer Success and Business Development Coordinators, keeping them up to date with new initiatives and providing support when required.
- You will manage our wholesale online databases, an opportunity to increase brand awareness within the industry.
- You will create and implement a marketing plan that will assist with the growth of Bleubird internationally.
Essential Criteria
- 2 years of brand marketing experience.
- Demonstrable ability to balance several tasks at once.
- Experience of using design programs such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop.
- A self-starter who can work to deadlines and communicate well with internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to support the development of briefs and translate them into creative communication with a pragmatic approach.
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills/numeracy, with the ability to analyse data and provide detailed reports/ presentations.
- Ability to work well under pressure within a fast paced, dynamic team.
- Computer literate particularly with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude who is confident in expressing opinions and ideas.
- You’ll have a commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- You will think analytically and know how to track marketing efforts.
Desirable Criteria
- Familiar with using Klaviyo (or similar platforms) for email marketing campaigns.
- A passion for the outdoors, nature, sustainable practices and adventure.
- A knowledge of the industry, with contacts already established.
- Applications from candidates who have studied business, marketing or a similar discipline are particularly welcomed.
- Familiar with Shopify (or other online sales platforms).
- Experience of using Facebook Ads, Google Ads and Google Analytics.
- Experience of working in a customer service focused role.
- Experience of growing a brand.
