Retail Sales Assistant (Saturday)

About Us

We're looking for a highly enthusiastic and energetic person to look after our East Belfast shop on a Saturday.

The shop is located at 330 Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast, BT4 3EX.

Bleubird is a specialist in outdoor equipment and apparel products. Now in our 7th year of trading, we are in an exciting period of growth supplying over 250 retailers globally from our headquarters in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

You will be an integral member of the Bleubird team. In this customer-facing role you will represent the brand in our own retail setting.

We’re searching for someone with energy, great people skills and highly self-motivated. If you fit this description, we want to hear from you. Experience of working in a retail setting is preferred, but if you have fantastic people skills, a strong work ethic and an aptitude to learn quickly we want to hear from you.

Job Description

The Role will include:

  • Assisting customers in store, processing sales and being able to answer customer queries on product, brand and service.

  • Ensuring the store is well merchandised in keeping with Bleubird's brand standards and expectation.

  • Processing replenishment orders from Bleubird's warehouse and ensuring any replenishment stock is put out on display in a timely manner.

  • Keyholder responsibilities for the Bleubird shop.

  • Stock take of inventory in the shop and updating in POS system.

  • Any other jobs that may be required in assisting the running of the business on an ad hoc basis.

This role is for a Saturday staff member to run the Bleubird shop indepedently. The shop operates a "card-only" policy and is cashless, so the role does not involve any cash handling responsibilities.

Provisional Saturday opening hours: 09:30 - 17:30

Criteria

Essential Criteria:

  • Willingness to prioritise customer service;

  • Confident with exceptional people skills;
  • A problem solver;

  • Highly motivated and proactive with the ability to multitask;

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently and efficiently.

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working in a retail environment;

  • Experience of working with Point of Sale (POS) systems.

Warehouse Assistant (Temporary) - Closed

You will be an integral member of the Bleubird team. You will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the business co-ordinating deliveries to our local customers in the UK & Ireland.

We’re searching for someone with energy, great people skills, strong aptitude for systems, exceptional organisation and ‘a completer-finisher’. If you fit this description, we want to hear from you. Experience is preferred, but if you have fantastic organisational skills, a strong work ethic and an aptitude to learn and understand Warehouse Management Software (WMS) quickly we want to hear from you.

Job Description

The Role will include:

  • Assisting the warehouse team with outbound orders in both the e-commerce and B2B channels, ensuring on time delivery in full, warehouse pick and pack accuracy and chasing ‘stragglers’.

  • Assisting the warehouse team with inbound stock deliveries - full container loads to carton quantities, ensuring supplier conformance with packaging charters, coordinating the efficient and accurate booking in of stock to allow timely turnaround of outbound orders.

  • Contributing to ensure stock accuracy, cycle counts on stock.

  • Stock replenishment of primary pick locations.

  • Any other jobs that may be required in assisting the running of the business on an ad hoc basis.

Criteria

  • Willingness to prioritise customer dispatches and stock input, picking and packing orders daily;

  • A problem solver;

  • Highly motivated and proactive with the ability to multitask;

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently and efficiently;

  • Computer literate.

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working in a Warehouse or Operations Role;

  • Experience of working with Mintsoft WMS or equivalent WMS;

  • Valid forklift licence.
